"Get back here, you little freak! I'm ganna kill you and skin you!" a voice echoed through the forest.
Running as fast as he could, Vash evaded the man chasing him. He had his hand over a wound in his left shoulder he had taken form the man's gun. Vash wasn't totally sure why the man wanted him dead, but he assumed it was because he was a mutant. Normally he would have just grabbed the man and tossed him aside, but he had be getting in a lot of trouble over things like this, and he was tired of getting punished for the ignorance of humans.
He heard a gun shot behind him, then the sound of the bullet hitting a tree to his right. He continued on running for his life. If the man somehow caught up to him, he could use his powers, but that would only create more problems for him.
"You little bastard! I'm ganna kill you!"
'I don't get it. Where did this guy even come from? I was just sitting the darkness of the forest when he stumbled on me, saw me, then strated shooting! Maybe he's drunk," Vash thought to himself.
'Why not jussst kill him? He'sss only a human, after all!" a voice said in his head.
"Not you again," he exclaimed out loud. "I don't have time for your mind games. I don't want to kill him. You're just a figment of my imagination anyway. You're not even real!"
'If I'm not real, then how am I talking to you?"
"Because I'm crazy, that's how!"
Vash stumbled on a bush and fell face first into a mound of moss. He pushed off the ground to get up, but one of his hands pushed through a rotting log, causing him to slip. He knew the edge of the forest was close, and that the Sanctuary was just on the other side, but he wasn't sure if he could get there because the man got off a lucky shot.
He kicked the dirt and pushed with his feet to get himself going again. As he ran by a small tree, he grabbed it, crushing the trunk and causing it to fall over behind him, hopfully slowing the guy.
As he neared the forest edge, a shot went right over his head, and he scream, "help! There's a drunk crazy guy with a gun out here! Help!"

Lilli had become sick and tired of not being able to do anything. SHe wanted some freedom. Her mom was neurotic. SHe was perfectly fine. It wasn't like she would shatter into a million pieces at any given moment. She wanted to be a normal girl. She was 16 for crying out loud. She wanted to live like any normal 16 year old. Why should she be treated different? Because she was frail. That's why. She had a severely weak immune system and she injured way more easily than most. SHe was a walking disaster.
She shouldn't even be out here. Lilli's mom never let her ride the horse alone much less outside of the school grounds. It wasn't like she was far out of the grounds. It was only yards behind her. This is the kind of freedom she liked. Not having to sneak out like this. But the ability to come and go as she pleases. She wanted to leave home, but she knew she couldn't just yet. Maybe one day she would be able to. But until then she was just stuck.
She didn't see anyone running towards her. But she did hear the gunshot. It spooked the horse and it reared back causing Lilli to fall off and hit the ground with a thud. Yeah, that would at least be a bruise, she thought to herself. She leaned up as the pain shot through her body. "Oww." SHe said aloud as she looked around. Leaves were stuck in her ponytail and dirt was covering parts of her clothing. Where did that shot come from. It was then she heard it. A cry for help so powerful it hit her brain faster than her ears. It made her stumble as she rose to her feet. She looked around, where was it coming from? Why were there people out here.
That was when Lilli saw him. The guy running towards her, a small teenage girl that looked really out of place in the forest. She ran towards him as she saw the man with the gun chasing him. She ignored the pain wracking her body. When she reached him she jumped towards him and grabbed him phasing into the ground before coming back up behind the man with a gun. She didn't know what was going on or what she was going to do from there, but she had to help, even though she had no training in this.

'Oh thank God," Vash thought as he saw someone ahead. He ran towards her, only to somehow be dragged into the ground and brought back up behind the man. Vash tackled the man and grabbed the gun, tossing it away. He pulled the man's arms behind his back and lifted him up off the ground.
"You think you can shoot at me and not pay the price?" Vash yelled at the man.
He was about to smash in the guy's head when he realized what was going on again. He held his fist back and grabbed the man around the chest, his arms still behind his back. He looked at the girl that had saved him and nodded at her. To him that was his thanks. He dragged the man out of the forest into the clearing near the Sanctuary.
"You're going to the police station now. That is unless someone has a better idea of what we can do with this creep. Preying on kids. You should be ashamed."
'Or maybe you should jussst kill him now," the voice in his head told him.
"Stop talking to me!"
He turned to the girl after his outbreak, remmeber they couldn't hear the voice in his head. He assumed she thought he was crazy now, so he walked forward toward the building.

Lilli watched guy she had just saved take down the man with a gun. She stood there watching with her hand gripping her throat. She didn't want anyone hurt. But she could see blood on the guy's shirt. She had never dealt with anything like this and it was a little hard to handle. She backed up until she met with the bark of a tree. This couldn't be happening. SHe was going to be in so much trouble if her mom found out about this.
Lilli heard the words leave the guy's mouth and her eyes widened as she moved forward. "No don't hurt him." SHe called out hoping that would work. SHe knew this guy deserved to be punished but it wasn't right to beat or kill him.
Lilli followed them. They were headed to the Sanctuary. Hell, mom is so gonna find out. Lilli just hoped the horse made it back alright. That was her mom's horse, and Lilli wasn't supposed to take her out without someone with her. Hell she couldn't go out alone hardly ever. "You can use my cell to call." She spoke out. She hadn't really thought about saying anything when the words spilled out from her lips. She just wanted to try to keep her mother out of this.
Then she heard it. A voice that wasn't any of theirs. Who was that speaking. SHe looked around. Lilli ran to catch up to them. "Who's voice was that?" sHe asked. Sometimes it was a pain being a telepath. You heard every thought and sometimes that included voices in the head. But she heard voices in her head to. Well...other people's thoughts rather. Either way she thought it would be easier if she was just claimed medically insane. But she knew that would never happen. Her power was legitimate.

"What voice? I'm the only one talking. This guy seems to have passed out, so it's just us two."
'Strange. It seemed like she could hear you for a second there,' Vash thought to the other person in his head.
'Maybe she'sss one of them mentalsss.'
'It's called a psychic.'
'Whatever. I ssstill think it would be easssier to just get rid of thisss guy now.'
'Go away.'
Vash then took the girl's phone, again saying thanks with a nod. He dialed 911, telling the them about a drunk man with a guy. The woman on the other side of the phone sounded a little odd when she heard the address, but continued on anyway. Vash hung up and gave the phone back, then started to drag the man's body to the front of the Sanctuary.
"You wouldn't mind getting a nurse or someone to come and patch up with hole, would you?" he said pointing to the shot in his shoulder.
He was obviously favoring his right arm, but continued on dragging the body. The marks left in the grass by his feet made an ominous trail to the forest's edge. Small blood marks from the wound followed the trail. Anyone who saw it might have been scared out of their mind if they didn't know what was going on.

Lilli giggled for a minute. "Its called a telepath." sHe smiled. "You have a voice in your head. I like that." SHe smiled. "At least you don't converse with yourself in your alone time." sHe smiled more. SHe thought this was one of the coolest things in the world. She hadn't met anyone before that had a voice in their head. Medically it was called Schizophrenia but she thought it was just cool.
She allowed him to call the police and kept walking. Once we get back to the front steps, I will heal it for you." SHe said. One of the drawbacks of her healing power was that she couldn't heal herself and she got really weak afterwards. "I would heal it now but I doubt you want to be carrying two people." SHe spoke. She meant it as like a morbid joke, but she knew it was true.
